Inspired By Hope

We all need some solid hope these days. Something that inspires us to move forward through the dark spots, to keep trying. For me, hope is not just wishful thinking. It is confidently looking forward to what I believe in.

             Here’s why I decided to change the name of my website to “Inspired By Hope.”

            I am inspired by HOPE for the FUTURE, because my future is in God’s capable hands. I trust in His unfailing love and His plans for me. He tells me, “I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you HOPE and a future.”¹ 

            I am encouraged by the HOPE for TRUTH, which I have found in God’s word, the Bible.² I believe His word is right and true, and that He will be faithful to stand by His word.³

               My HOPE is built on the REFUGE I’ve found in God in times of trouble.⁴ I do not put my hope in wealth, which can be so uncertain, but in God’s ability to provide for all my needs.⁵

            When I am tired physically and emotionally, I put my HOPE in the Lord’s STRENGTH, because He’s promised to renew my strength. And He does! I can soar on the wings of His power and keep walking in His strength.⁶ When I was trying to come up with a new name for my website, I told the Lord I wanted a name that would give people hope yet be inspirational. Moments later, I came across this verse: “We remember… your endurance INSPIRED by HOPE in our Lord Jesus Christ.”⁷

            I have HOPE that LOVE will prevail. People will fail us at times, but there is a love that never fails! It comes from God, who “delights in those who fear Him, who put their HOPE in His unfailing love.”⁸ He loves us enough to call us His children!⁹  

            My HOPE is in God, who fills us with JOY and PEACE as we trust in Him.¹⁰
